Evening with the Maestro

The last week of September, it was my immense pleasure to bring a menu of American classics down to Farmington for an amazing wine dinner with the newly formed Ovations!

My father (pictured in the black chef’s coat) and I have shared a love of wine for many years, and it was a special opportunity to collaborate and host this evening together. To this day I continue to play violin in the Arkansas Philharmonic - something that always fills my heart. It was 6 years ago that I traveled to Arkansas for the first time to explore Bentonville and decide whether or not it would be a good fit for a culinary student - me! It was also during this trip that I would serve as a guest chef for their inaugural wine dinner and evening with the Maestro. It is always an honor to return for a concert and even more special when opportunities like this arise.

NWA is a very unique and special part of the country that can only be seen to be believed. I find that it is a small world, made even smaller by those who enjoy both food and music. Thank you Jason Miller for your hard work and exquisite cellar! Lives were changed by the blueberry BBQ/pinot pairing. Our guests were gracious and so enthusiastic - which was only slightly motivated by the various bottles of Ballotin...
